Painted parts need to be coded via ink-jet printing, a technology which can be used to mark a wide variety of surfaces including castings, sheet metal, tube and extrusions, glass, paper, fabric and rubber. The Domino A200 inkjet printer, in conjunction with the PRISYM Aerospace software, is capable of printing 2D Datamatrix codes in accordance with the Aircraft Industry’s direct part marking requirements. The message to be printed on the parts contains the Datamatrix code and data in human readable form printed as shown below.
